HABIT AND MIND

Good or bad decisions all depend upon how healthy is our subconscious mind. Whatever we been through in our life and surrounding all give a tremendous impact on our subconscious mind.

In the hustle life, we so indulge in simple routine tasks without being knowing what does our brain do; there are lots of brain processes going on side by side without involving our consciousness. Mind with full of thoughts, feelings, and experiences effects conscious decision send by the subconscious mind. To align your conscious thinking with your subconscious mind, it has to think habitually for a sustainable, less stressful and more successful life.

As we all know habit is behaviour that occur after repeated actions and whenever we encounter a new situation in life ; a neurological activity in brain start analysing the situation and making conscious decision. The feedback loop of human behaviour : try , fail , learn , try differently helps to fade away useless movements and reinforced useful actions with practice.

Though it’s ongoing debate whether our decisions taken by conscious or subconscious activity. The number of technologies introduces to monitor brain activity through which we get a detailed picture of brain processes occurring during behavioral experiences and also before decisions made. Neuroscience research by Soon et al. (2008), the brain is subconsciously aware of our decisions before we have consciously made those very decisions using fMRI scans of brain activity. These decisions can be encoded in brain activity of prefrontal and parietal cortex up to 10 s before it enters awareness. As Benjamin Libet (1985) claims that brain processes precede the conscious decision by 500ms by Reading potential originated from the supplementary motor area.

The subconscious mind works on problems side by side even if we do something else. The brain is active every moment you are alive- even now. If we stumble upon some problem, our craving to solve this leads to trying out different responses and learning from the results we get a reward depending on craving intensity which leads to motivation and then to reward.

“ Give your problems some time, you never know how your subconscious mind solve this for you ”
